Vendor management provides managers with the ability to assess the workload of different vendors handled by your organization. The default view is a summary of tasks and the vendor to whom they are assigned. (A vendor is a provider of a service).
The Manage Vendor menu includes the following options:
- By Matter: view processes by matter (determined by Process Opened - Matter dropdown)
- By Process: view processes (determined by Process Opened - Process dropdown)
- By Task: view processes by Task (determined by Process Opened - Task dropdown)
Display options for each page include:
- Begin date: specifies the earliest process opened date you wish to view
- End date: specifies the latest process opened date you wish to view
: All processes - sets the Begin Date to 1/1/90, and the End Date to today.
: Today - set the Begin Date to today, and the End Date to today.
: This week - set the Begin Date to today - 7 days, and the End Date to today.
: This month - set the Begin Date to today - 31 days, and the End Date to today.
- Display Size: determines the maximum number of rows displayed before paging.
- Processes On Hold: determines inclusion of processes that are on hold.
- Processes Closed: determines inclusion of processes that are closed.
- Tasks Due: checking this option will include all tasks scheduled to be done between Begin Date and End Date.
- Tasks Completed: checking this option will include all tasks completed between Begin Date and End Date.
- Tasks Not Set: checking this option will include all tasks which have not been scheduled or completed.
All processes counted were opened in the specified date range (total column). Of all of the processes opened in the specified date range, some may still be open, some may be on hold, and others may be closed. The totals are represented as follows:

- Due: tasks scheduled to be completed between Begin and End date
- Completed: tasks that were actually completed between Begin and End date.
- Not Set: tasks that have not been scheduled yet.
