Help - Admin - Teams |
Background |
Teams comprise a table called Team, and are maintained through the Design module. The intent of a team is to identify a groups of users who commonly perform a related set of tasks or processes. Specifically:
|
Searching Teams |
From Design > Teams, enter the name of the team
you wish to search for, and click go. This will return a list of
teams. You can export the list of team to a spreadsheet by clicking on
the spreadsheet icon.

Adding a Team |
From Design > Teams, click on the Add a New
Team icon in the Aspen Workflow toolbar. This will navigate to the
Design > Teams > Add a Team page, where you can specify the properties of
the Team and click Add.

Selecting a Team |
From Design > Teams, search for the team to be
selected. Once a list of teams is displayed, click on the name of the
team to be selected. This will navigate to the Design > Teams > (Team
Name) summary page.

Updating a Team
|
From Design > Teams > (Team Name) summary page,
click on the Update this Team icon on the Aspen Workflow toolbar. This
will navigate to the Design > Teams > (Team Name) > Update page.
Update the team properties and click Save. Note that you may not update the name of a Team once created, as it is a foreign key constraint.

Deleting a Team |
From Design > Teams, search for the Team to be
deleted. One the team is displayed, check the checkbox to the right of
the Team to be deleted. From the Action menu at the bottom of the
page, select Delete and click go.

Adding People to a Team |
From Design > Teams > (Team Name), click on the
People tab. This will navigate to the Design > Teams > (Team Name) >
People page. From this page, click on:
This will navigate to a page to add a single person or multiple people, respectively. Note that a Person may belong to more than one team, but may not belong to the same team twice.

Deleting People from a Team |
From Design > Teams > (Team Name) > People,
check the checkbox to the right of the people to be deleted from this Team.
From the Action menu at the bottom of the page, choose Delete, and click Go. Note that deleting People from a Team does NOT delete People from the system. |
