MS Word: Client-side merging
|
| Step 1 |
Creating the Data Source: to merge
a document with data, Word requires that the data be made available
locally. Internet Explorer saves the data locally to your hard
drive, generally in the c:\temp\ directory. A failure to do so is typically a result of failing to do
one of the following:
- Set up this website as a Trusted Site. (See IE Help)
- Have a copy of Microsoft Word (97 or later) installed.
- Have all copies of Word closed.
- Have Windows
Scripting installed. (Part of IE
5.0)
- Make sure c:\temp is available and the
user has access to it.
