Moving Around the Help Guide

Each help screen offers several methods of navigation, including:

 

Title Bar

At the top of each screen is a title bar, which includes hyperlinks to to the main Help page and any lower-level pages through which you have navigated. 

For example, this screen's title bar reads, "Help - Guide for General Users - Using this Help Guide,". 

Note that the first portion of the title, "Help", is underlined as a hyperlink.  This means that you may position your mouse over the word 'Help,' click, and your browser will return to the main Help page. Likewise, clicking on the second portion of the title, 'Guide for General Users,' will point your browser to the welcome page of the General Users' Guide.

Toolbar

As you navigate through the help system, you can use your browser, Back and Forward buttons.  Clicking on your Back button will bring you to the last page you viewed.   For example, if you start on the main Help page and click on Course Navigation, your browser will load the Course Navigation.  You could then click your Back button to return to the main Help page.

Navigation Footer

At the bottom of each screen you should see a navigation bar which includes direct links to each section of the help system.  These links are the same links that are available on the main Help page.  You may jump directly to any of these pages by clicking on the link below.  An alternate method would be to click on the Help link in the title above, and then click on a link on the main Help page.

Closing Help

When you are done using the help window, you can close it in any of three ways:
  1. Click on the Exit Help image on the right side of the title bar,
  2. Click on the Close link in the Navigation footer, or
  3. Close the window using the window controls
