Background

Add a new record.The Insert icon (pictured on the right) appears in the top right-hand corner of most Search and List screens.  To insert a record into the database, click on the icon. This will open a page prompting you for information needed to insert your record. Generally speaking, all insertions will be logged with the name of the person inserting the record.

How to Insert

To insert a record:
  1. click on the Insert icon.  If you have permission to add a record, this will open a page prompting you to enter the information required for a new record.  If you do not have permission to insert a record, you will be alerted to this fact.
  2. Upon entering the information, you may click Add or Cancel. Clicking Add will insert the record into the database, and return you to the search or list page you started from.  Clicking Cancel will return you to the search or list page you started from without inserting a record into the database.
