Background

Each matter may have one or more processes applied to them.  A process generally comprises the tasks that make up a Client invoice.  In many cases, a simple matter might only ever have one process applied to it.  For some complex matters, there may be several processes added over the course of years.

Processes Screen

Below is a sample Processes screen.  Unlike the Matter Summary screen, this screen does not include key tasks or notes. It does contain links to edit or delete entire processes.  To edit the properties of a process, click on the edit icon () to the right of the process.  To delete one or more processes, check the checkbox to the right of the process, and click on the delete key.  Before deleting a process, you will be asked to confirm your selection.

Note:  deleting a process will cause the deletion of every task and note related to that process.  Normally, process deletion is a management or administrative level function only.

Process that are closed will appear with a red background.  Processes that are on hold will appear with a tan background.
